Anyone who is keen on the theatre, opera, ballet and other shows will surely recognise the cover picture of a Russian girl's profile against a theatrical mask and lyre as the emblem of the annual festivals of Soviet art, known as "Moscow Stars", "White Nights" and "Russian Winter", which are held in Moscow and Leningrad every year. About twenty other festivals, days, decades and months of art are arranged annually in the other Soviet republics and towns.
